A small learning curve for a life of comfort
It takes a few days to adjust to a better typing position by using the Cleave keyboard depending on your current typing speed:
- Average typists with 10 to 50 words per minute (wpm), fully adjust within 1-5 days.
- Moderate typists with 50-90 wpm, fully adjust within 5-10 days.
- Fast typists with over 90 wpm, fully adjust within 10-30 days.
No matter how many days it takes, you’ll no longer feel the cramping experienced when using conventional keyboards, and you will get accustomed to a better typing position, allowing you to work in comfort for long hours helping you become more productive.
Guarantees within North America
If you live in North America and receive a product with a defect in workmanship and/or materials, we will replace the unit without any cost to you. If you purchase and wish to return it, you will need to ship it to our office in Canada.
The optical switches are guaranteed for 100 million actuations. If one fails or arrives defective – which has only happened in less than 0.1% of the keyboards, each keyboard includes four additional switches of the same type of the keyboard. Switches are easily replaced in a matter of seconds and without needing any technical knowledge.
Guarantees outside North America
International orders – outside North America, please note that Truly Ergonomic Ltd. is a Canadian corporation, and therefore our primary market is North America.
We happily offer our products internationally as a courtesy; nonetheless, claims for any of our Guarantees for any order being shipped to a destination outside Canada or the United States could be subject to additional shipping fees. This means that if you receive a product with any defect in materials and/or workmanship, we will replace the unit or provide a refund of its purchase price, but any shipping and duties/taxes fees must be covered by the customer.
Duties and Taxes outside North America
Any order being shipped to a destination outside Canada or the United States might be subject to import duties and taxes that are neither levied nor collected by us during checkout.
When placing an order with us, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Any charges for duties, taxes, and the carrier’s collection fee would be in addition to your shipping charge and must be borne by you. You can contact your local customs office for further information.
Depending on your delivery address, you might be required to pay duties and taxes fees when you receive your product, or might receive an invoice from the courier with incurred fees after you have received your product. These fees, if any, should be paid to the courier or corresponding government office directly.
If you refuse to pay duties and taxes, or refuse the shipment for any reason, the shipment will be returned to us at your expense. In this case, we cannot refund any shipping expenses, and may charge a restocking fee of up to 20% of the product’s price depending on the condition in which the product is returned to us.

Under no circumstances are we responsible for any costs that exceed the original purchase price incurred by the customer. Either due to any use or misuse of the product, due to latent failures in the product, or any other condition or circumstance.
Legal claims must be processed under the laws of the province of British Columbia, Canada. We are not responsible for compliance with laws outside Canada.
Truly Ergonomic products are not medical devices. Prolonged or inappropriate use can cause injury. If you feel discomfort while using them, stop using them and consult your physician.

You must request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number during the first 60 days from the date of delivery unless you receive a written exemption from us or we delayed the RMA.
Exchange on non-operational (DOA) products is allowed for a period of up to 30 days from the date of delivery with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
Truly Ergonomic keyboards are properly designed and therefore different from others. As a result, you need to use them for a minimum of 30 days to learn to type correctly and to get accustomed to using them. We provide a 60-Day Money-Back Guarantee to grant enough time for you to adjust to a better typing position by using Truly Ergonomic keyboards. We therefore request using our products for at least 30 days before requesting a Return.
All Guarantees are only available for products purchased directly from us; voided to products that are damaged due to misuse, abuse, spillage, negligence, or modification; do not extend to products where attached decals were damaged or removed and/or are missing components included in the original shipment, and it does not extend to any damage which may occur during shipment or which can be attributed to natural phenomenon. Not valid on discontinued, refurbished, pre-ordered, or custom orders. Refunds do not include Shipping and Handling charges. There is a maximum of one return per customer.
If you did not purchase directly from us, please contact your vendor or retailer. If you purchased directly from us, you must request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number during the first 60 days from the date of delivery by visiting our Contact Us section.
We unfortunately cannot refund shipping fees, and may charge a restocking fee of up to 20% of the product’s price depending on the condition in which the product is returned and if it’s significantly damaged due to misuse, abuse, spillage, negligence, or modification.
